Gavin Hardcastle and I have teamed up once again for an exclusive photography workshop to one of Scotlands hidden gems, the Isle of Mull. If you’re keen to get away from the crowds of photographers and explore the quiet beauty of Scotland then this is the trip for you.

This 6 day/6 night Scotland Photography Workshop includes accommodation, meals and transportation. All you have to do is get yourself to Glasgow and we’ll pick you up at the Holiday Inn Express at 9am on May 1st.

From Glasgow we drive you to to the town of Oban where we enjoy a quick ferry ride over to Mull. You’ll have your own private room for 6 nights in a lovely country setting right in the heart of Mull close to many of our shooting locations.

More Information….

Where is the Isle of Mull?

The Isle of Mull lies on the west coast of Scotland roughly 2.5hr drive NW of Glasgow.

What is the weather like in May?

The weather on the Island is unpredictable at best. Rain, or sunny conditions are all possible on the coast, best to be prepared for all conditions.

How hard will the hiking be?

There are lots of great photo opportunities for all fitness levels and many great shooting locations are not far from the car. Typically the distances will be under 2 km for each day. Ideally some level of fitness would be a great asset, mobility is a must.

What camera gear should I bring?

The following are some recommendations. Generally we will be focusing primarily on landscape photography but may encounter some bird shooting opportunities. Ideally, since we will be hiking throughout the day and carrying our own gear, equipment should be kept to a minimum. Here is a list of what we typically carry in the field.
